Kettle Moraine Ski School Policies
DISCLAIMER
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and paddling are by nature dangerous activities with unpredictable risks. KMAC guides and instructors follow the rule of “Safety First,” however injuries can still occur. Minor injuries such as scratches, bruises, and sprains can occur, as well as major injuries such as concussions, broken bones, and heart attacks. There is always a chance of catastrophic injuries including paralysis and death.
WAIVER
When you sign the Kettle Moraine Adventure Company waiver that is required for participation in our courses, you are indicating you understand and agree to assume responsibility for the risks and dangers of the activity you are participating in.
COURSE CANCELLATION
GROUP COURSES AND EVENTS
If you can’t make it to a scheduled event, please give us a 48-hour notice, and we will re-schedule or issue a refund. Cancellations with a shorter notice will not be refunded, however, we would love to reschedule you for another date. No-shows will not receive a refund or re-schedule. We understand that life sometimes presents a true emergency so if something drastic comes up, please give us a call.
PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
To cancel a private lesson please give us a 48-hour notice and we will re-schedule. Shorter notices will not be refunded.
WEATHER POLICY
INCLEMENT WEATHER
We try to hold the camp rain or shine. Sometimes this requires switching to a location with cover for skills. If Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate, we will reschedule.
